Hockenheim – A terrible incident occurred in Hockenheim am Rhein in Baden-Württemberg.
On Thursday (March 7th) a passerby discovered the body of a dead woman on the bank of the river.
A 27-year-old woman and her child were previously reported missing.
After an autopsy on Friday (March 8th), investigators are certain that the body is that of the missing woman, as the police announced on Monday (March 11th).

Accordingly, the police officers' initial suspicions that the 27-year-old woman must have died violently appear to be confirmed.
Most recently she was said to have been traveling with her mother and her five-week-old daughter.
Officials were unable to say exactly how long the 27-year-old had been missing.
The investigation is ongoing.

The 27-year-old's mother has been wanted by the police since Monday evening and is considered the most important witness after the body was found - both in relation to the death of her daughter and in the search for her grandchild, who is still missing.
The police recently reported an arrest after a man died violently in Freising.

The police secured evidence at the crime scene in Hockenheim.
The police have set up a special commission for further investigations and are also asking the public for help.
The body was discovered in the bank area on the Rhine dam at a NATO ramp between the Herrenteich and Lußhof there.
The idyllic spot is a popular place for walkers, as a police spokesman explained.
A mysterious fireplace was also discovered near the crime scene.
