Olching - Whether it's a cabaret, a mudflat tournament or pop evenings - the Bavarian inn Dahoam has been offering all kinds of good home cooking for a year now.
Restaurateur Peter Helfer invited the band Kopfeck and songwriter Roland Hefter to the big anniversary.
Helfer, who runs the Daxerhof as the headquarters in Olching alongside the Dahoam, didn't want to let the Dahoam's one-year anniversary pass by without a celebration.
In addition to the usual cosiness that the inn on the SC Olching grounds exudes, there was a party atmosphere on Sunday, March 10th.
And why not combine the whole thing with a good cause: The idea of donating five euros per admission ticket came up.
As with last year's Dahoam Festival, this year the money went to the association "Helping children with cancer in the Fürstenfeldbruck district" based in Gernlinden - a project close to Helfer's heart.
It is particularly important to him to draw more attention to the club and demonstrate his support.
“It’s great what this small club does,” says Helfer.
The approximately 200 members not only fulfill the wishes of children with cancer, such as visiting the circus, but above all they support their parents, contribute to the costs of special therapies or enable families to take a break from everyday life.
All of this is financed by donations and an annual membership of 18 euros.
Next big coup planned
Helfer has already planned the next big coup for the summer.
On July 6th, the Dahoam Open Air will take place at the Volksfestplatz.
Last year it was relatively small and based on the SCO premises, but the Olching restaurateur is now aiming for other spheres: it should be bigger, longer and more impressive.
The main act will be DJ Ötzi.
In addition, stars like VoXXclub, Nicki and Kopfeck heat up the audience.
“The starting signal for the open air will be given at 3 p.m.
Then you can celebrate until 11 p.m.,” says Helfer.
Advance ticket sales are already in full swing.
This year there will again be a special VIP ticket with hospitality and contact with the artists.
And here too, part of the income, namely one euro per ticket, should go to the Gernlindner Association.
After all: 5,500 spectators are officially admitted, more than twice as many as in 2023.
