The police discovered significant violations during a heavy goods inspection at Bichl.
For some drivers, this meant heavy fines and ended journeys.
Bichl – violations in almost half of the vehicles and some fines in the higher three-digit range.
This was the result of a several-hour inspection of heavy goods traffic on Monday (March 11th) by officers from the Tölz police station with specialists from the Weilheim traffic police station, the police said.
The check took place on the B472 federal highway near Bichl.

Vehicles ranging from small vans to 40-ton trucks were checked.
The main focus would have been on speed, load securing and driving and rest times.
According to the police, the officers found significant violations of legal driving and rest times in several vehicles checked.
The police also detected speeding violations.
A long timber transporter was so overloaded that it was prevented from continuing its journey.
The driver had to unload several tons on the spot, according to the press release.
Only then was he allowed to continue his journey.
The service brake on one trailer did not work, which is why further travel was prevented.
Officers reported other minor violations.
