Highlights: Pop star complains about Udo Jürgens hit: “That’s nonsense”. Pop star Leonard finds it “terrible’ to be 60 years old: ‘You really think: in five years you'll already be retired. And at 60 you can no longer gloss over being young,’ says the Swiss singer. Even those people who always say: Getting old is beautiful! I don't know, I can’t understand that,” said the pop star.

Schlager legend Udo Jürgens wrote countless hits during his lifetime.

But one of them is “nonsense,” complains the Swiss singer Leonard.

Leipzig - In his numerous pop hits, Udo Jürgens (1934-2014) has shared a lot of wisdom over the course of his impressive career (over 105 million records sold): For example, that a sensible coffee party always includes cream ("But please come with it Cream") or that one should trust time "when fate takes something away from us" ("The sun always rises").

But the Swiss pop singer Leonard (60) can't do anything with the lyrics of a song - because the content is "nonsense," he complains.

Unlike Udo Jürgens: pop star Leonard finds it “terrible” to be 60 years old

The trigger for this Udo Jürgens criticism is Leonard's visit to the radio and podcast show “But please with Schlager”.

In it, the Swiss are showered with compliments – especially for his appearance.

He already knows that: In fact, he is told “relatively often” that he still looks quite young for his age of 60.

But the “A Little Song” interpreter is obviously struggling with his advancing age: “I actually think the number is terrible.

And that's because you really think: in five years you'll already be retired.

And at 60 you can no longer gloss over being young,” says Leonard – and adds: “Even those people who always say: Getting old is beautiful!

I don’t know, I can’t understand that,” said the pop star.

He sees such an attitude as a “loss of reality”.

Udo Jürgens song just “nonsense”: Pop singer Leonard doesn’t think much of “At 66 years old”

When moderator Anika Reichel then jokingly mentioned Udo Jürgens' “At 66 years old,” which says, among other things, “At 66 years old, that's when life begins,” Leonard can no longer contain himself: “That's nonsense.

You're talking about something that isn't actually true.

You have to be happy if you're still in reasonably good shape." In his eyes, it's "simply not true that life begins at the age of 66" - for him it's better to "start thinking about your will at this age." “do,” says the 60-year-old.

Even ten years after his death, the Austrian music legend is making headlines - as recently as: In "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", a candidate reported on a boozy night with Udo Jürgens.
