After an attack on the electric car manufacturer Tesla's power supply, production has started up again.

According to a report, a high-ranking visit is expected.

Grünheide - Tesla boss Elon Musk visited the factory in Grünheide near Berlin on Wednesday after the attack on the car factory's power supply, according to a report by "Table Media".

Tesla has been back online since Monday after a power outage that lasted for days and is ramping up production.

“Table Media” referred to corporate circles.

Tesla initially did not comment on this on Tuesday.

On Tuesday last week, previously unknown perpetrators set fire to a freely accessible electricity pylon in a field in eastern Brandenburg, which also ensures the supply to the car factory in Grünheide.

The far-left Vulcan group said it was responsible for the attack.

The Federal Prosecutor's Office took over the investigation.

The situation is tense.

Not far from the car factory, environmental activists are protesting against Tesla and electric mobility.

The camp has so far been approved until Friday.

The initiative behind it stated that it had nothing to do with the attack.

Shortly after the attack, Musk made a statement on Portal

“Stopping the production of electric vehicles instead of fossil fuel vehicles is extremely stupid.” The Tesla boss wrote the words “extremely stupid” in German.

Tesla initially expected production to come to a standstill until the end of this week due to the power outage.

However, according to the supplier Edis, the decisive switching was carried out in the network control center last Monday evening.

Production is to be gradually ramped up again.

A spokeswoman was unable to say on Tuesday when it would be fully operational again.

“We’ll just have to wait and see.”

The Tesla boss's last known visit to the so-called Gigafactory, about 30 kilometers from the center of Berlin, was about four months ago: After the opening of the only Tesla factory in Europe about two years ago, Musk briefly visited the factory in November 2023.

The plant opened around two years ago.
