Citizens should currently stay away from the online services of the Ebersberg district office - warns the district office.
A Vodafone fault is said to be to blame.
Update, 5:35 p.m
.: The technology failure in the district office's online services apparently lasts until Wednesday night.
“All services are gradually going back online, but the experts cannot yet say when everything will actually start working smoothly again,” said authority spokeswoman Laura Tendel late in the afternoon in a statement entitled “
Ebersberg District Office is still only accessible to a limited extent”.
It may still be the case that online services via the citizen service portal, which can be used to apply for desired license plates or building applications, for example, do not work correctly.
Communication via email may still be restricted.
However, emails from the house could sometimes be sent again.
Vodafone objects - but apparently missed the deadline
Meanwhile, the telecommunications service provider Vodafone contradicts the district office's interpretation that it was a system malfunction: "The appointment was agreed upon," said a spokesman to the editorial team.
It was clearly communicated to the district office that
there would be restrictions associated with the
routine software update .
The company doesn't want to call it a disruption.
The fact that there are online restrictions is “
day-to-day business and not surprising
,” said the spokesman.
Other authorities and other Vodafone customers are not affected.
But: The end of the maintenance work was planned for Tuesday afternoon, 3 to 4 p.m.
According to the district office's announcement at 5:20 p.m., Vodafone was unable to meet this deadline.
First report:
District
- If you want to submit a building application or apply for a desired license plate in the Ebersberg district, for example, it might be better to wait until tomorrow: A massive disruption in the connection to the Bavarian authority network caused the Ebersberg district office to issue the unusual warning to citizens that "
no online services will be available until further notice." Use the services of the district office!
“
“We cannot guarantee that applications will be submitted without errors”
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Ebersberg newsletter.)

For example, the online forms for
desired license plates
from the motor vehicle office and for
building applications
via the citizen service portal are disrupted.
Of the district office's approximately 100 internet services, around half run via the Bavarian authority network and are therefore affected, said press spokeswoman Laura Tendel to the EZ.
But it is currently not possible to unravel this exactly, which is why the house has decided to issue a general warning about the online portal lra-ebe.de - “
because we cannot guarantee that applications and forms are transmitted error-free
”.
The district office cannot currently send emails
The employees of the district office are also affected.
You cannot
currently be reached
via email
@lra-ebe.bayern.de
.
The authority spokeswoman writes: “Please use the address @lra-ebe.de
for important emails
” and adds: “Emails from our company cannot currently be sent!” Individual department heads have been provided with emergency solutions.
According to the district office, the district office can be reached normally by telephone
.
Vodafone will announce repairs to the district office on Tuesday afternoon
The disruption has apparently existed since Monday evening, when the district office published an initial warning.
According to spokeswoman Tendel, the telecommunications group Vodafone, service provider for the Bavarian government network, has carried out maintenance work on its network.
These caused the disruption.
“Unfortunately we don’t have this in our own hands,” said the authority spokeswoman.
Vodafone has announced replacement devices for today, Tuesday, March 12th.
“We hope that the disruptions will be eliminated by the afternoon,” said the district office.
Since this is an external problem, we have no influence on how long it takes until communication works properly again.
“We therefore ask all citizens for their understanding.” It is currently unclear whether other offices in other regions will be affected by the disruption.
A response from Vodafone to a corresponding query from the editorial team is currently pending.
