A report by American intelligence stated that Benjamin Netanyahu's survival as prime minister and the stability of his coalition are in danger due to the war in Gaza. "Distrust in Netanyahu's ability to govern has deepened and expanded in the public even more than it was before the war, and we anticipate large demonstrations demanding his resignation and the holding of new elections.
A different and more moderate government is a possible scenario," states the report published by the US Director of National Intelligence.
The report states that Israel is expected to face increasing international pressure due to the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
In addition, Israel and Iran are trying to calibrate their actions against each other in a way that will prevent a deterioration into an all-out conflict between the countries.
"We estimate that the Iranian leadership was not involved in the planning of the October 7 attack and that it had no prior information about the attack," the report states.
