A 12-year-old boy was shot to death this evening (Tuesday) in the Shoafat police station by the police after he fired fireworks at them in direct fire. The boy, Rami Hamdan Alhouli, was taken to the Hadassah Mount HaTsoufu Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time ago. In the investigation department, police officers began investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier this evening, the police announced a violent disturbance in Shuafat Police Station that included throwing Molotov cocktails and firing fireworks in a direct formation towards the security forces. During the incident, a single shot was fired by an MGB fighter at a suspect who endangered the forces when he fired fireworks at them in a direct formation.
The suspect was caught, arrested and referred for medical treatment.

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir responded to the incident and said: "I support the security forces who are operating at this time and are now risking their lives against dozens of Arab rioters in Issawiya.
I salute the fighter who killed the terrorist who tried to shoot fireworks at him and the troops - this is exactly how you should act against terrorists - with determination and precision."
