The client is king.
It is he who, in the end, calls the shots by choosing to “heat” his bank card or not.
He makes the success of a brand through his purchases, his loyalty to the brand and the appreciations and recommendations he can give to those around him.
His opinion matters more than anything.
If it is favorable, it is an encouragement to continue on the right path.
If it is mixed, it is an invitation to improve to serve them better or offer them products that are more in line with their expectations.
The Quality Institute, a subsidiary of Burda Media, specialist in surveys and quality labels in Europe, and
Le Figaro
are joining forces to assess consumer appreciation and establish this list of the best franchises in France.
For this ranking, the Quality Institute selected more than 500 franchise brands (out of the approximately 2,000 networks that will be active in France in 2024) spread across 62 sectors.
These cover a wide range of activities, whether in the sale of goods or the provision of services: catering, retail, quick ready-to-wear, personal services, real estate transactions and rentals, automobile repair , hobbies…

In total, 323,982 consumer opinions were collected in November and December 2023 as part of a survey carried out by the Quality Institute among a representative sample of the French population using the Cawi method. (for Computer Assisted Web Interview).
The people surveyed have been customers of the 500 brands over the last 24 months.
Three questions were asked of the consumers contacted to measure their satisfaction rate:
- Does the brand offer good service?
- Does it offer very good value for money?
- Does it adopt ecological behavior in its activity?
A familiar landscape
The tables presented on the following pages present the score obtained by the brands on each of these three questions.
This score is expressed as a percentage of positive opinions.
The aggregation of these scores assigned to franchises for the three dimensions analyzed makes it possible to calculate the final customer satisfaction score.
Brands that obtain a score higher than the weighted average of their sector are awarded the “top” rating.
In the ranking, only the brands having obtained this above-average rating are presented.
Consumer product and service brands clearly have an advantage.
This is shown by the summary ranking, opposite, of the 20 brands which obtained the best scores: from 72.9% positive opinions for Ibis Styles hotels to more than 80% for beauty institutes and boutiques of Yves Rocher cosmetics.
These brands stand out because, through their national scope, they make up a familiar landscape for the consumer, whom they accompany in their daily life.
In his eyes, they fulfill the contract he expects in terms of service, value for money and ecological commitment.
