Too old, sick or cracked: these Oise bridges which must be completely rebuilt

2024-03-12T17:13:00.649Z

Highlights: In the Oise, four bridges must be demolished and then rebuilt. A first project has just been launched in Lacroix-Saint-Ouen, for a duration of 10 years. The bridges are too old, sick or cracked to be repaired or replaced. They are also too dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians to cross. The project will take place between June 2025 and June 2028, with a completion date of June 2029, depending on the progress of the work. Every day, she gets on her bike to go to work.

“With the closure of the bridge, I have no choice, I will have to take the car again,” continues this 58-year-old woman.

And this, until at least June 2025…
