Gabriele Visco, son of former finance minister Vincenzo, was released from house arrest in a graftprobe Monday.
The 50-year-old had been subjected to the custodial measure last February as part of an investigation by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office alleging the crimes of corruption and bid-rigging.
The release, ordered by a preliminary investigations judge (GIP), was requested by Visco's defense in light of the cooperation that the suspect is providing to the investigators.
