They claimed this Tuesday morning the capture of a border village.
Russia said on Tuesday that it had repelled “all” armed incursions on its territory by Russian pro-Ukraine fighters.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, fighters from Ukraine attempted to enter the border regions of Belgorod and Kursk on Tuesday morning, equipped with tanks and armored vehicles and after "intensive shelling" during the night.
“Thanks to the self-sacrifice of the Russian military, all attacks by Ukrainian terrorist groups were repelled,” said the ministry, indicating that it had struck its enemy using aviation, missiles and artillery.
Schools closed in Kursk
Moscow, which claims to have inflicted heavy losses on its adversary, also reported an attack by groups of saboteurs from Ukraine on the border village of Tiotkino, in the Kursk region, which was also “repulsed”.
The capture of this village had been claimed a few hours earlier on Telegram by fighters from a pro-Ukraine unit called the Russian Freedom Legion, which has already been at the origin of previous armed incursions.

“There was a shooting”: fighting breaks out on the border between Russia and Ukraine
These fighters, who say they are Russian, announced in the morning that they had crossed the Russian border from Ukraine, publishing a video in which we can see three armored vehicles driving in the dark on a country road.
The unit claimed to have “destroyed” a Russian armored vehicle in Tiotkino and that Moscow’s forces had “quickly left” the village, leaving heavy weapons behind them.
The Russian governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, confirmed the attack and reported a slight injury, however he also denied any “breakthrough” by the attackers.
However, regional authorities have ordered the closure of schools in the city of Kursk “due to recent events,” said Mayor Igor Koutsak.
