In the video: We examined the connection between the future of Sderot and the beloved snack Dobonim/Editor: Gilad Man Mannheim
With a desire to allow the residents of Sderot future opportunities for integration in the fields of science and technology, the Asem Nestlé Group established the "Esem Sderot Fund" for technological training and industry development.
The fund helps the residents of the city to get a closer look at the various technological professions in the city, such as those that can be found in the barn factory, which operates non-stop even under alarms.
Three young residents of the city came to the factory to meet Mia Ron, director of operational excellence in the company, and on the way they got to see how the teddy bear snack, one of the most loved snacks in Israel, is made.
"Working at the barn factory in Sderot makes me feel Israeli," says Mia.
"Here you feel a part of what is going on in Israeli industry, and this is exactly how we are creating the future in Sderot."
What exactly is her role in the factory and what do teddy bears look like before frying?
