The events of October 7 are still present in almost every home in Israel, and in addition to the great mourning and trauma, hundreds of thousands of men and women fighters were recruited, leaving the families completely alone.

Out of the great difficulty, the "Anchor" organization was re-established, whose volunteers went on a long vacation since Operation Tzuk Eitan and regrouped on October 7 for the families of the reservists.

The organization is based on an array of volunteers of about 8,000 people throughout the country and provides assistance to about 12,000 families while providing babysitting services for children, hot meals, household assistance, various arrangements, pet care, shopping, access to rights and more.

On October 7th, Rona Rachel Mohamas found herself with her family at her parents' house in Netanya, with the intention of celebrating her father's birthday, but what happened next, no one dared to imagine.

The family was eagerly waiting to surprise him.

However, he returned from the synagogue and asked his family to turn on the television after hearing rumors in the synagogue.

"He will no longer celebrate his birthday on October 7th, but on the Hebrew date," shared Rona Maman, a resident of Tzur Yitzchak and told "Walla" about the great contribution that the women of the "Anchor" organization gave her with great support while her fard Natan, a fighter with the dog Her family is in Gaza.

"The women of the anchor are stunning. It is a gathering of women who just want to help and support, along with an amazing array of volunteers," said Rona Hama, mother of two children, Alari Gilad, one and two years old, and Talia-Or, two years and three months old.

She said that the children miss Nathan very much and that they miss him very much.

"Little Alari is calling; Dad, Dad, and Talia keeps asking me where is dad? We tell them that dad is a hero and protects us. We are in Order 8 from October 7," she emphasized.

"The children were sick for two and a half months," she continued.

"Yapa Levy, the amazing and special volunteer, was with me on tough days, just like a second mother. She sat with the children, listened to me, helped me with the housework, and saved me from climbing the walls. For me, it's enough that another eye is watching and there's another hand to hold the baby, that's it He calmed me down and prevented me from falling apart. These were two and a half very difficult months, she also came with me to the doctor and today the anchor women are my very good friends today and we have a very strong community connection in the settlement."

Adeva Nachshoni, mother of two children with special needs aged 9 and 3 (speech impairment and autism), separated from her husband Moshe who left to fight in Nahal Oz and then entered Gaza.

"I tried to cope alone, but it was very difficult," she shared.

"In the last month of the war, I felt like I was going to collapse. My daughter hasn't slept for two months and she falls asleep with the help of melatonin sleeping pills. The whole period was very challenging. Then Danny arrived. She helped me a lot to know that there is someone who hugs my children, sits and talks with them, this She also contributed a lot to me. My child was really waiting for Dani, to sit and talk with her, and her husband Roni also helped a lot. She gave me her whole heart and soul on a platter."

Nachsoni says that for her, every moment her daughter was with 69-year-old Danny Raviv, known as "the American grandmother", she was calm and these moments were like magic.

"My whole family are military men, I grew up with the values of the good of the country above all, but having children with special needs is a supreme value for me. My daughter was mentally abused, being without her father is very difficult. I have no way to replace him, no matter what I tried It didn't work. The big difficulty is that the very fact that he came and went was much more difficult, these forays made the situation worse."
