Twelve thousand fans celebrated Monika Gruber on Friday evening in the Munich Olympic Hall.

With her program “Without Words,” the 52-year-old said goodbye to the stage - for now.

Munich - Their fans celebrate them like there is no tomorrow.

There isn't either, if you believe Monika Gruber's announcement that it's her farewell show.

And so the twelve thousand fans in the Olympic Hall on Friday evening shed a few tears as she left the stage - and she was built very close to the water.

Moni once again bathes in the love of her fans - until long after the show, she signs autographs with the energy of a Duracell battery, takes selfies that everyone can show at home, look, Moni, like a best friend who “eats everything too and everything is drinking,” as she says.

Uncomplicated, honest, direct to the point of being rude.

Farewell to Monika Gruber: Reception with Prosecco and Sprizz

The fans come first this evening and so there will be no after-show party for their friends and family, but a pre-reception with, of course, Prosecco and Sprizz in the Coubertin Club next to the hall.

FC Bayern star Thomas Müller and wife Lisa are “huge fans of Moni”

Is that really what happened with Moni?

“Oh go, she’s just taking a long break,” says jeweler Maximilian Heiden with certainty.

“Because a person who has something to say doesn’t stop so quickly.” “Now let’s enjoy this moment and not think so negatively,” says FC Bayern star Thomas Müller, who is coming with his wife Lisa.

Both are “huge fans,” says Lisa, of the grubber.

So, nothing is fixed, also because she herself speaks of her “last” performance for now.

“Because I am not 100 percent sure whether it is really the right decision in these hysterical times to say goodbye to the stage.” Because the circle of cabaret colleagues who stand up to the crazy, i.e. woke, spirit of the times will increasingly manageable.

Moni is particularly concerned about the Greens with their climate policy - and everyone can already see Gruberin's Erdinger heating demo, with which the cabaret artist came under massive criticism.

That's why a politician doesn't want to "read in the newspaper" that they are such good friends.

The closest circle around Monika Gruber remains: family and stylist also say goodbye

For some, Moni's commitment was “just right”.

Back then, fashion entrepreneur Susanne Botschen (Mytheresa) mobilized all her friends.

And because she “wishes Moni all the luck in the world for her future,” she had a four-leaf clover made by the florist with pink rose petals on it.

“Life becomes poorer without them,” says Botschen.

But it doesn't matter whether the Moni stops or not.

For her closest circle, like her regulars' table group, this doesn't matter at all.

Alexander Beck still knows Moni from the shared apartment where he worked as a tailor at the State Opera and Monika as a secretary.

Today he is her stylist and is at her side at every Moni appearance.

Because Moni has already made sure of that: to be happy, she doesn't need a sold-out Olympic hall, but rather the people she loves most around her, who have always remained the same throughout her meteoric career.

Also there on Friday: Monika Gruber's family with mom Leni and her two brothers Sepp and Christian Gruber, the yogurt kings Christian and Tanja Ehrmann, mastermind Stavros Kostantinidis, the Augustiner landlady Melanie Vollmer with her partner Sebastian Dersch.
