When she read the testimony that we published in January from Christelle, fined while she was in good standing, Arlette immediately identified herself, like several readers who have spontaneously written to us since.

“It was us, a few months ago, we experienced exactly the same thing,” she remembers.

This 72-year-old resident, from Moulins (Allier), was going to visit the Eiffel Tower with her daughter Chloé, her son-in-law and her two grandchildren aged 10 and 5 and a half, who came from Nantes.

“There was a considerable crowd.

My 10-year-old grandson put in his ticket, but it didn't work, so he went under, remembers the grandmother.

My daughter, panicked to see him caught up in the crowd, passed her ticket which didn't work either and did the same thing to join him as quickly as possible.
