Dance United Wartenberg has celebrated great success with its youth show dance festival.

33 groups from six districts performed enthusiastically on stage in the fully occupied Strogenhalle.

Wartenberg – In his welcoming speech, 3rd Mayor Bernd Scheumaier praised not only the commitment of the coaches, but also the commitment of the parents.

Over 30 cakes were baked for the buffet.

Behind the scenes, an organizational change had been made in the provision of supplies to guests, which served to improve hygiene: no one at the counter came into contact with money anymore.

The fact that consumption cards were used was so well received that visiting clubs are already considering adopting this idea.

But now to the program: In the first of the four blocks, this primarily brought the younger dancers forward.

Only later did the slightly older youth groups arrive.

The moderator was again Michael Ostie, and for the first time he brought support from the organizer onto the stage.

According to chairman Torsten Drews, the club brought in 25 active members who guaranteed everything ran smoothly.

Dance United itself sent all three youth groups on stage across the ten-hour program, saving the Frantics for last.

As reported, this second group of competitors recently celebrated success in ranking tournaments.

As in previous years, the organizers left out their own groups when choosing the audience's favorite and left them out of competition.

The Fantasy Dancers, the Dance Angels and the Frantics clearly enjoyed their home game.

The duo from SV Zustorf probably celebrated their greatest success in terms of applause from the crowd.

Alina Heintze and Theresa Eder have clearly established themselves in the second Bundesliga with 233 points at the last ranking tournament, and coach Julia Reiter is pleased that promotion to league one has now been achieved.

The hosts' Frantics also had success in ranking tournaments and have already reached the first Bundesliga in terms of points.

Ballet elements were part of the program, for example by Dance Passion from Ingolstadt, for whom it was also the last performance with the program.

Dance theater was also shown, with Phönix from the Niederaichbach game association (Landshut district) standing out: the dancers brought the rather dark motif of “Wednesday” to life under the direction of Stefanie Buba, who is no stranger to Wartenberg as the former treasurer of Dance United Stage.

The fact that their second group, the teens, was able to come at all was only thanks to an above-average effort: of the normally 14 dancers, only seven were able to come for various reasons.

“I'm proud of my girls,” confessed Buba, who had come to Wartenberg to dance again because her third group wouldn't have been able to perform otherwise.

Moderator Ostie appreciated this effort: “It is always easier to cancel than to come with this group.” The Black Diamonds from TSC Waldkraiburg showed similar commitment.

The prize for the largest troupe went to the Buxis from Buxheim, who brought together three groups - 49 dancers.

Those who didn't come on stage were the two Red Cross volunteers: they weren't needed.
