A 30-year-old suspect, a resident of the Bedouin diaspora, was arrested last night (Tuesday) while driving on Route 6 near Tayba - and in his vehicle, approximately 50 kilos of hashish and 6,000 ecstasy pills were seized.
The driver, who was stopped for a routine check by police officers operating in the area, was taken in for questioning.
Today, the police will ask to extend his detention.
Last week, a driver was arrested in Kiryat Bialik after driving against the direction of traffic, when in his possession were seized substances suspected to be drugs and thousands of shekels in cash.
The incident took place as part of an operational activity by Zebulon police officers against criminal offenses in the Kiryat Bialik sector.
After noticing the driver of a private car driving dangerously, they managed to stop his car.
A resident of the Bedouin diaspora was arrested on suspicion of drug possession.

During an on-site inspection, the police officers revealed that the driver had in his possession large amounts of substances suspected to be cannabis-type drugs in commercial quantities, ready-to-distribute bags, medical drug boxes and prescriptions suspected to be fake, and thousands of shekels in cash suspected to be proceeds from drug-trafficking activities.
