New elections for the Catholic Women in Moosinning – 20 new members in two years

Moosinning – A proven board team is supposed to lead the Community of Catholic Women (GkFM) in Moosinning into the future.

Their annual general meeting traditionally takes place on the World Day of Prayer and is ushered in by a church service, this year together with the Eichenried and Eicherloh women's communities.

A pleasingly large number of women came to St. Emmeram to celebrate this day.

Afterwards, the Moosinningen ladies went to the general meeting in the Oberwirt opposite.

There, the meeting was opened by Maria Gunderlach with a few warm words, as soon as the 50 or so women had spread out at the tables.

An admittedly hungry Maria Döring joined in with a short greeting.

For the pastoral officer, who has been working in Moosinning since the fall, it was the first world day of prayer in the GkFM circle.

In view of so much warm impartiality, the only man in the room, Moosinning's second mayor Werner Fleischer, had no choice but to postpone his greeting until after the meal.

But then he praised the women's commitment as a great enrichment for the entire community.

This was confirmed by the figures in the very positive box office report, which showed sufficient income from a wide variety of events.

Gisela Wildgruber (center) was visibly moved when Gerlinde Eschbaumer (left) and Maria Gunderlach (right) honored her 25 years of loyalty to GkFM.

Anna Bauer and Kathi Hilger were also honored in absentia, also for 25 years.

Gisela Wildgruber was surprised when she was honored for 25 years of membership.

Since her two fellow honorees for 25 years, Anna Bauer and Kathi Hilger, could not be present, she received all the attention, which was clearly heartfelt for her.

Attention and warmth are the outstanding characteristics of the Moosinningen ladies.

This was shown by the photos that illustrated the 2023 annual review: World Day of Prayer, garlanding for the St. Mary's altar, Corpus Christi procession, excursion to Abensberg, foot pilgrimage to Maria Thalheim, herbal bush binding and double flag delegation to the Assumption of Mary, herbal breakfast, cake buffet at the parish festival, catered rosary in Schnabelmoos, Advent celebration at the Daimerwirt, soup kitchen at the Moosinninger Christmas market and finally the extremely popular women's carnival.

This is a fountain of youth - not only for the members, who enjoy the exuberant and creative activities, but also for the club itself, because this is where the young people warm up in the truest sense of the word.

The fact that this concept is working is reflected in the pleasing increase in members: In contrast to many other clubs, the GkFM has welcomed over 20 new members in the last two years alone.

The new elections brought little new.

The double staffing of board positions introduced in 2020 has proven to be extremely practical and will therefore be retained.

Above all, the chair team Gerlinde Eschbaumer/Maria Gunderlach mastered their first term of office brilliantly and were unanimously re-elected, as was first secretary Sabine Penzenstadler.

She is responsible for the minutes, while the second secretary concentrates on public relations.

This position was the only one that had to be filled because Petra Priebe, who was elected in 2020, was no longer available.

Beate Kniffka takes her place.

The line-up of those responsible for the cash register remains unchanged: Karin Neumair and Andrea Vieregg.

And the assessors Gisela Huber, Bärbel Humplmair, Alexandra scratch, Anneliese Ways and Josefa Weinfurtner, who have been in office since 2020, were also unanimously elected.

They received support from Christine Keck and Maria Sedlmair, two carnival ladies who can now get a taste of boardroom life.
