Members of the ATSV Kirchseeon face double the annual fee.

A suggestion from the association to curb the increase: the municipality should waive rents for the sports facilities.

Kirchseeon

– Now the community could be obliged and forego income: Significant contribution increases are being discussed at ATSV Kirchseeon.

This became clear in the market town council.

Waiving rent could curb the increase in contributions.

ATSV chairman in the local council

The chairman of the sports club, Stefan Reinhart, reported to the committee about the current situation of the ATSV.

There had already been financial difficulties before Corona.

It could be necessary to increase the annual contributions by 20 to 40 euros.

For a young person, for example, this could mean an increase from the previous 40 to 80 euros per year, i.e. a doubling.

“That would be the worst case scenario.

“But we want to make the increase socially acceptable,” said Reinhart.

There are already families who cannot afford the contributions.

One argument goes that the association's commitment is always “a piece of youth social work”.

A decision is expected to be made at the association's general meeting in June.

A suggestion: The municipality could waive usage fees for the municipality's sports facilities, which the club currently uses and pays for.

This means that the increase in contributions could be significantly lower.

A piece of youth social work

When asked by the EZ, Mayor Jan Paeplow (CSU) explained: In 2023, a total of almost 15,000 euros in usage fees were charged for the use of the gymnasiums in Eglharting and Kirchseeon.

The ATSV paid around 11,300 euros of this.

Other clubs such as Teakwondo, the VHS and other users accounted for around 3,700 euros.

“This fee is subsidized and does not reflect an actual cost calculation,” said Paeplow.

In addition, the ATSV pays an annual recognition amount of 3,000 euros for the ongoing maintenance costs of the ATSV sports center with the main playing field and training field.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Ebersberg newsletter.)

That’s how high the fees for clubs are

Other community-owned properties such as the ATSV hall, the youth center in Eglharting and its adjoining rooms as well as the Cafe Zam would be given to Kirchseeon clubs and organizations without charging a fee, said Paeplow.

The decision on whether to subsidize the usage fees is made by the market town council.

The ATSV's request still needs to be specified in order to be discussed at one of the next meetings, said the mayor.

There has not yet been a decision in the committee.

1500 members

The ATSV currently has around 1,500 members with a high proportion of children and young people.

54 teams have been formed.

There are 115 trainers and trainers working.

Paeplow emphasized that the social aspect of the association's work should not be ignored.

“There are fates that we know nothing about.” The committee also saw it that way.

Demand for more sports facilities

In advance there had also been demands for additional sports facilities from the ATSV.

In an interview with EZ, Chairman Reinhart pointed out waiting lists in various sports areas.

It is a “task of the community and the local council” to create this.

You have to find common ground.

The reaction in the local council was cautious.

“It will be a big task,” said Paeplow.

“It is also clear that it cannot happen overnight.” There are many other tasks to be done in the Kirchseeon community, for example regarding schools.
