While cleaning out the basement, a resident in the Regensburg district came across a frightening find.
He immediately alerted the police.
Nittendorf - A surprise that no one really wants to find when cleaning out their house: In the small community of Nittendorf-Undorf in the Regensburg district, a homeowner was cleaning up his basement on Saturday, March 9th, when he came across a nasty surprise falls.

Grenade found during clean-up work: resident calls police
He had found a hand grenade.
The resident then immediately called the police.
The officers cleared the single-family home and sent photos of the grenade to the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) for further clarification, as the police announced on Monday.
However, they were able to reassure the house owner and the police officers on site: As it turned out, the projectile was a Bundeswehr practice grenade that posed no danger.
After about an hour and a half, the residents were able to return to their house on Saturday afternoon.
The police nevertheless secured the find.
As a police spokesman reports, the owner only purchased the property last year.
