Ever Banega
used his Instagram account to apologize for the offensive comments that cost him his expulsion during the match between Godoy Cruz and Newells.
In the statement he refers to Fernando Rapallini, who directed said match, to the Argentine refereeing and to the AFA.
In a story on the social network, he clearly and concisely narrated the facts, the reasons for the behavior that he described as “unjustifiable.”
Banega clarified that he recanted privately with Rapallini and the referee team and added that “my behavior on the field was out of line and should not happen again.”
Ever Banega released a statement apologizing for the comments against Fernando Rapallini and the Argentine refereeing.
Last Sunday, March 10, Ever saw red just 25 minutes after the match started;
This fact was a consequence of a loud complaint from the number ten of the Rosario team after Godoy Cruz's goal, for a foul not charged against the footballer Ramiro Macagno previously.
Immediately, Banega addressed the judge in a derogatory manner and departed from the specific event in the game.
“You and the VAR guys are all idiots
,” was the phrase that the midfielder would have said and that made Rapallini explode to sanction him with a direct red card and leave Newell's with one less for the rest of the game.

To connect the dots and leave no room for speculation, in the statement he clarified that "
my reaction was solely due to the party's own anger
and did not have any type of interest or hidden intention, neither against Fernando nor against any other actor or protagonist of our soccer".
This point is due to the theories and sayings from the Argentine football environment that related the event to the great controversy on matchday 9 that occurred in Barracas vs Independiente and that unleashed a fight both on and off the field between Carlos Tévez and the referees who They even ended up in legal matters.
For this reason, and to make a buck, Banega supported his profile as a footballer, trying to prevent anything from affecting him and ensuring that the sanction does not extend to 2 or more dates.
“I understand the place that we football players occupy and I also know that respect is an essential value in society and in sport, that is why I am committed to working so that it does not happen again,” concluded the La Lepra player, who has accumulated his second expulsion in this League Cup.
The previous one left him out of the classic against Rosario Central.
