The 32nd edition of the FAI Spring Days will kick off on 23 and 24 March, which will see 60 sites open in the Marche region which are normally closed to the public in 31 locations (750 in Italy for a total of 400 cities).

"The result of a collective effort - said the regional president Alessandra Stipa today, illustrating the event in Ancona - the fruit of months of work, of the passion and participation of those (FAI volunteers, school managers, teachers and students with their families), who have put their time and skills were available to carry them out, and I thank them publicly here".

"An opportunity - was echoed by the Councilor for Culture of the Marche Region Chiara Biondi - to introduce even non-Marche residents to hidden places of our historical heritage, and above all to involve young people from schools as 'ciceroni' in guided tours, making them protagonists and witnesses of our cultural tradition".

In addition to individual places, the program also includes themed itineraries, such as the one in Senigallia dedicated to archaeology, present not only in the museums, but also in the urban fabric of the city, whose history it will be possible to retrace through epigraphs, headstones and coats of arms.

Among the new features are the villa of the partisan writer Joyce Lusso and the house of the photojournalist Mario Donderoa Fermo, together with that of the painter Adolfo De Carolis (1874-1924) in Montefiore dell'Aso (Ascoli Piceno), with the nearby Clock Museum.

In Ascoli, an exhibition of Art Nouveau posters by the Meletti company, owner of the historic café of the same name, will also be visible at Palazzo Bazzani.

The modern Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute will open in Ancona with its laboratories for the diagnosis of animal diseases and the Prefecture Palace, whose artistic attractions and functions will be explained by the guides.

As well as that of the prefecture of Pesaro, formerly Palazzo Ducale and seat of the Urbino court, while in Urbino it will be possible to follow an entire route involving various centers dedicated to engraving in scientific dissemination in collaboration with the local university.

Finally in Macerata, visit Palazzo Bourbon delMonte, home of the Philharmonic Dramatic Society, and nearby Matelica, two municipalities both registered with the FAI.

Thanks to the FAI Youth Groups (18-35 years), represented by the Marche coordinator Ilario Di Luca, the Fund's proposals will also rebound on social media (info www.giornatefai.it).
