After nine years, Francine Jordi said goodbye to “The Big New Year’s Eve Show” – and co-host Hans Sigl.

But what happens next for the “Bergdoktor” star?

Munich – There are still almost nine months until New Year's Eve and very few people are currently thinking about popping fireworks and the impending slide into the New Year.

Things are different for the people behind the popular hit show “The Big New Year’s Eve Show”.

They all face one big question: What's next for presenter Hans Sigl (54)?

Moderator Fracine Jordi leaves “The Big New Year’s Eve Show”: What’s next for Hans Sigl?

Just a few days ago, Swiss pop star Francine Jordi (46) announced her withdrawal from “The Big New Year’s Eve Show”.

Now a spokeswoman for Bayerischer Rundfunk expressed her regret to

schlager.de

, but they still “respect her motives and understand that after this long time she would now like to devote herself more to new challenges and her music.”

After Jordi first led the show with Alexander Mazza (51), then with Jörg Pilawa (58) and from 2022 with “Der Bergdoktor” star Hans Sigl (54), the popular TV doctor is now without celebrity reinforcement.

It is not yet known who will lead the numerous spectators into the new year at his side.

What is “The Big New Year’s Eve Show”?

Every year on New Year's Eve, ARD broadcasts the popular entertainment program “The Big New Year's Eve Show”.

The singer Francine Jordi has been moderating the event since 2017, back then together with Jörg Pilawa.

They performed the New Year's Eve show together until 2021.

After he moved to Sat.1, Hans Sigl took over moderation alongside the musician in 2022.

The trinational production is a joint project between the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation, the Swiss SRF and the Austrian ORF.

Fans in all three countries can enjoy the big end of the year together with party hits, pop songs and evergreens.

“The Big New Year’s Eve Show”: Now the station has its say

Because the broadcaster only revealed this much to

schlager.de

: “We are in discussions with everyone involved, including Hans Sigl.

It's still too early for details about this year's New Year's Eve program." It looks like fans of the show will have to wait a while until it's clear how the happy New Year's Eve party will continue.

By the way: “The Bergdoktor” not only welcomes the viewers of “The Big New Year’s Eve Show”, but Hans Sigl now also moderates his very own show “Sigl – Auf ein Wort”.
