The RAF terrorist Burkhard Garweg is still being searched for.
An investigator now gave, among other things, insights into Garweg's life before his escape.
Berlin – There were many speculations as to where the wanted RAF terrorists might be.
Until Daniela Klette was arrested, however, hardly anyone could imagine that they had lived unnoticed in the state capital Berlin for years.
Because not only Klette lived there, but also her accomplice Burkhard Garweg.
When Klette was caught, he fled and has been wanted ever since.
The trailer in which he lived was examined by the police.
She found a lot of interesting things.
Friedo de Vries, head of the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office, gave Die Zeit
an insight into the investigators' findings
.
Counterfeiting workshop found in RAF terrorist Garweg's construction trailer
For example, tools for forging documents were found in the construction trailer, which was described as “poor.”
Accordingly, it is quite likely that the fugitive is traveling with false identification documents of his own making.
“He had various aliases,” explains de Vries.
However, he was apparently particularly fond of one first name: “Most people started with Martin.” However, he probably no longer goes by that name.
This is what the RAF terrorist looks like today.
The police are using these photos, among other things, to search for the suspected RAF terrorist Burkhard Garweg, who is sitting on a sofa with an Irish terrier.

Investigators provide insights into the search for RAF terrorist Garweg
The LKA investigator rather suspects that Garweg has adopted a completely new identity.
Because: “Garweg will have thought very carefully about the question of how he would react in the event of an arrest like Klette's.” The fact that Garweg chose the Bauwagenplatz as his place of residence is also no coincidence for de Vries.
The fact that people don't ask much about the past and that residents tend to be critical of police operations and the rule of law definitely played into the hands of the wanted RAF terrorist.
It only recently became clear that not everyone condemns the three RAF members and their actions.
In Berlin, hundreds took to the streets to show their solidarity with Klette, Garweg and Ernst-Volker Staub, as
ZDF
reported today.
Where Garweg is currently located is unknown;
he may already be abroad.
