Have you noticed over the past few days, in the streets of Paris, this naive drawing of a rider and her mount springing from the Faubourg Saint-Honoré?

This is the poster for the 14th edition of the Saut Hermès, the prestigious show jumping competition, which takes place this weekend at the ephemeral Grand Palais (and which will return next year, to the “real” Grand Palais ).

On the program, the courses designed by the course manager Santiago Varela Ullastres for ten events awaiting the 55 best riders in the discipline (who should be seen at the next Olympics), but also the twenty rising stars in the under 25 category.

As always at Hermès, this high-flying competition also cultivates a sense of celebration and the art of living with equestrian shows, entertainment for young and old, and a pop-up boutique where you can purchase, among other equipment, a limited edition squares.

Your choice is the Horseman in shapes, with a design by Gianpaolo Pagni who “

 found his inspiration in a series of equestrian lithographs from the Émile Hermès collection.

From this engraving from the Imagerie de Nancy, he only kept the mount, and using stamps with geometric shapes, he recomposed cubist silhouettes of riders.”;

or the Brides de Gala Tartan newsboy, a precise design by Hugo Grygkar in 1957 evoking, as Jean-Louis Dumas remarked, “

dazzling ceremonial outfits

On the intertwined harnesses, we recognize pieces from the Emile Hermès collection.

For the Jump, the emblematic pattern is offered in three exclusive and contemporary colors, navy, white and pink.
