Le Figaro Bordeaux
A penchant for healthy
“fun”
, values of sharing and a desire to
“make people smile”
.
It was the refreshing cocktail that led this group of friends, members of a surfing group called Phaze, to surf on the expanse of water flooding the quays of the Garonne in Bordeaux on Wednesday.
An action of spontaneity leading to wonder, more prepared than it seemed.
“We had a window
(of shooting, Editor's note)
which was short enough to set up and take advantage of it due to the tides of the Garonne
,” explains Simon Daney, one of the eight members of the group, aged 20 to 24 years and brought together under the aegis of an association since the end of the year.

After the rain, the “good” weather
Thus, three members of Phaze - who were neither in class nor in the office -
"seized the opportunity"
to shoot beautiful images and showcase their passion, which is expressed in particular on YouTube.
Pulled by a winch, a man named Léo appears on a board, taming the elements near Darwin space with dexterity.
A pleasant image, in line with the philosophy of the association according to its communications manager, Estelle Veyradier.
“We are powerless in the face of floods so we might as well try to bring joy to those around us
,” says Simon Daney.
While their friend Vladimir Pawlak takes the opportunity to send a positive message:
“The confinement is over.
Enjoy the good weather, our beautiful city of Bordeaux and as soon as you can do a little sport, go out!”
In other words: after the rain, the “good” weather.
