“We are entitled to speak with everyone, we do not have any red line, our loyalty is with Jaén,” stressed the president of JM+, Juan Manuel Camacho, in the first public appearance since it became known that his party was negotiating with the socialists a motion of censure against the popular mayor, Agustín González.
Camacho has made it clear that it was the PSOE that knocked on the doors of the provincialist party.
To support his request, the provincial coordinator of JM+, José María Mesbailer, has appealed to the announcement that the vice president and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, made at the end of last year for the debt forgiveness of the autonomous communities, an agreement that , as interpreted by JM+, would later be extended to local entities.
By virtue of this, she demands differential treatment towards the Jaén City Council, “which is in the ICU” and “on the brink of intervention,” she said, and which does not have new municipal budgets since the last ones approved in 2017. .
But in addition to the negotiations with the state Administration, in which officials from the federal PSOE act as intermediaries, Jaén Deserves More continues to pressure its current municipal government partner, the PP.
In fact, members of the provincialist formation met on Tuesday in Seville with senior officials from the Junta de Andalucía and the Andalusian PP, to whom they asked to “accelerate the times” and the deadlines for the 101 proposals that were signed in a agreement before a notary at the beginning of the mandate.

Although members of the party have assured that they do not opt for the right or the left, JM+ chose to support the PP in all the municipalities where they govern (Santiago-Pontones) and in the two where they co-govern (Jaén and Baeza).
