Le Figaro Lyon
Around twenty police officers invaded the Hôtel-de-Ville of Lyon on Tuesday as part of a search carried out among those responsible for the town hall.
According to La
Tribune de Lyon
, which reveals this operation, investigators are seeking to determine the role of several employees working with Mayor Grégory Doucet (EELV) and his deputies.
According to the local weekly, around ten project managers were interviewed, their telephones, computers and job descriptions were inspected.
Contacted, the city of Lyon told Le
Figaro “to remain, of course, at the disposal of justice”
and
“did not wish to make any comments on an ongoing investigation.”

Positions with fuzzy contours
In total, the city can have twelve positions for cabinet collaborators.
This number is determined based on the number of inhabitants of the municipality.
Administrative and non-political functions even if the line between the two is sometimes tenuous.
In addition to these collaborators, communities generally employ project managers.
In February 2021, the Lyon right questioned the executive on the number of project managers employed and counted around twenty.
There followed several exchanges of letters between the majority and the opposition, the latter having informed the Regional Chamber of Accounts of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes of its requests.
For its part, the city of Lyon had decided to group all of its positions within a new “institutional coordination department” in place of the former “cabinet office”.
“An administrative varnish”
, we whisper on the right.
“This operation already existed under Collomb.
The Greens have put on the same slippers.
In the opposition, they were the first to criticize this situation and are now putting up with it once in power
,” continues LR.
The city of Lyon is not the only French community observed by the courts concerning the role of these mission managers, the contours of which are often vague.
The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is currently the subject of an investigation by the national financial prosecutor's office into several jobs in its office.
