The Carabinieri of the Nas of Padua have reported a Chinese man, manager of an ethnic food business in the Camin area of Padua, for having offered for sale meat contaminated by the 'swine fever virus'.
The man was also charged with an administrative offense worth 6,500.00 for failure to trace, poor hygienic-sanitary conditions and non-compliant labelling, ordering the official blockade of two "illegal" cold rooms and the simultaneous seizure of 2,490 kg of food of animal origin due to health risk .
The measure was taken after an investigation, carried out by the Army with Aulss 6, last February, in the shop where some foodstuffs were taken as a sample and then subjected to laboratory analyzes which revealed the presence in the meat of the swine fever virus", however not transmissible to humans. The pork, of Chinese origin, was not traceable/labelled in Italian and was declared dangerous to health as import and sale in the European Community is prohibited.
