“The car must remain a means of access to life on the estate, not a simple toll to avoid the A13 motorway.
» The administrator of the national domain of Saint-Cloud, Brice Mathieu, no longer wants the 460-hectare domain managed by the Center des monuments nationaux (CMN) to only serve as a shortcut for motorists wanting to avoid traffic jams, particularly in the A13.
Around 750 vehicles pass through the estate each day, mainly weekday commuters.
It is to change these habits that the area will increase its access prices for cars and motorcycles, from April 1st.
The single entry fee will increase from 5.50 to 7 euros for cars (+ 27%) and from 3 to 4 euros for motorized two and three wheels (+ 33%).
School and tourist buses will continue to pay 20 euros.
