All departures at the capital's BER airport are canceled on Thursday due to an all-day warning strike by security forces.
The Berlin-Brandenburg airport company announced on Wednesday that there will also be cancellations of landings depending on the airline.
Schönefeld - The Verdi union had previously called on employees in passenger checks, people and goods checks and in the service areas to stop work on Thursday.
The industrial action in Schönefeld is scheduled to start at 3:30 a.m.
Verdi had also called for industrial action at other airports on Friday.
However, BER has not yet been affected by this.
With the warning strike, the union says it wants to increase the pressure on employers so that they present an improved offer that can be agreed upon.
During a previous warning strike by security staff at the beginning of February, all departures and numerous landings were also canceled.
Aviation security collective bargaining concerns the working conditions of around 25,000 employees of private security service providers.
On behalf of the Federal Police, they check passengers, staff and luggage at the entrances to the security area.
