Highlights: Robert Kennedy is still in the race: in Moshava Migdal there are going to be repeat elections. The votes were initially disqualified because only "Robert Amorosi" was written on them, and not the full name of the candidate. With the judge's decision to cancel the disqualification, the results of the elections in the moshav are a tie, in which each candidate received 601 votes. "We arrived optimistic, but the elections are not over yet," says Kennedy.

Two weeks have passed since the drama in the Migdal settlement, in which it is suspected that three votes, the only three votes separating the two candidates, are invalid.

The notes were disqualified, because only "Robert Amrossi" was written on them, and the candidate's middle name - Kennedy, was omitted.

In the Administrative Affairs Court in Nazareth, today (Wednesday) Judge Dani Zarfati ruled that the decision to disqualify the three handwritten notes on which "Robert Amarousi" was written is a wrong decision and that these notes constitute kosher votes that should be counted in favor of Amarousi.

Judge Dani Sarfati rejected the rest of the claims of Amarousi, who submitted the petition, and contested the election results according to the Ministry of the Interior.

The court ruled that the three notes are kosher to be counted in favor of Amarousi.

However, since it was found that in the combination of the three votes counted in favor of Amrousi, there is an equality of 601 votes for him and 601 for Nathaniel Alfasi, the candidate against whom he ran for the presidency of the Migdal Council.

Therefore, Judge Sarfati ordered that the Migdal Council will hold repeat elections for the Council's presidency, "at a date soon to be determined by the competent authority at the Ministry of the Interior".

The French judge did not oblige Amrousi or Alfasi to reimburse the other party's legal expenses.

"I accept the court's decision, I have always believed in justice," Robert Kennedy Amorosi told Walla.

It's a shame that three votes were lost along the way, but in the bottom line, it's an excellent decision.

We still need to resolve the issue of soldiers in active service, and see how they will vote.

We must allow them to exercise their democratic right to vote even in repeat elections, after all, they are guarding our house." He added that "We arrived at the court smiling and optimistic, but I remind everyone that the elections are not over.

I said it on election day, I said it during the vote count and I'm saying it now after the court's decision."
