After Puteaux, in Hauts-de-Seine, Fontenay-aux-Roses also wants to experiment with school uniforms.
For this, the municipality chose the Parc elementary school, in the city center, for its diversity but also because it knew it was rather favorable to the adoption of the unique outfit that the government wishes to experiment with.
The results of the survey, conducted via the notebooks of 300 schoolchildren and at the initiative of parents' representatives, proved him right.
Of the 221 voters, 121 voted for, or 62%, and 74 against (38%).
The rest did not comment.
“We wanted to take the temperature, include the families.
We were surprised to see that there was a majority in favor,” remarks one of the elected officials from the FCPE list, during a public meeting organized Tuesday evening by the city for parents.
