The search for a college student from Corpus Christi, Texas, who was last seen a week ago, intensified Tuesday.
Efforts to find Caleb Harris, 21, a student at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, are focused on an area behind the North Padre Island apartment complex where he lives, as well as in the eastern and southern sections of the community, the police said. NBC affiliate San Antonio station WOAI.

Hundreds of people have volunteered to comb the area during the searches.
Corpus Christi Police Department officers have been joined by members of the United States Coast Guard, the station said.
Harris disappeared in the early hours of March 4.
His roommates were unable to find him that same day, according to the police.

Harris had her phone, which has been turned off, but left behind her vehicle, keys and wallet, police said.
His relatives told Fox News that he was in communication with them until 2:45 am that day.
He walked his dog, came back and went out again to meet a food delivery man, the network said.

Police and Texas A&M Corpus Christi representatives did not immediately respond to requests for more details, although both have distributed missing person bulletins to report on the case.
