Will TikTok soon be banned in the United States?
The first round of the match between the Chinese social network and the American Congress will be played this Wednesday in front of the House of Representatives.
Parliamentarians will have to vote on a bill which gives 165 days to ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, to sell its American activities and therefore the social network, unless it is banned from application stores in the United States.
In the event of a positive vote, the text would then end up in the Senate.

If they adopt it, I will sign it
,” President Joe Biden declared on Friday, saying he was ready to promulgate this new law.
Coincidentally, last month, the Democratic candidate's team opened an account on TikTok as part of the campaign for his re-election.
