Alfons Schuhbeck has been behind bars since summer 2023.

But he is already enjoying some relief - and could soon call himself an “outdoorsman”.

Munich - Good news for star chef Alfons Schuhbeck.

The 74-year-old, who has been behind bars for tax evasion since August 2023, will again receive prison relief.

The chef was only allowed to work in his “Schuhbecks Company” at the beginning of the year.

Now, according to information from

Bild

, the Landsberg JVA, to which the branch for open prisons belongs, has granted Schuhbeck a so-called “regular exit”.

Star chef Alfons Schuhbeck: Next relaxation - soon to be outdoors?

This means, it goes on to say, that from now on Schuhbeck can leave prison once a month to see friends and family without supervision.

This “regular exit” is intended to strengthen the prisoner’s social ties.

Specifically, Bild continues, this means four to eight hours of freedom per month.

Afterwards, a prison holiday, i.e. two nights outside the prison, should be planned.

At the end of August 2023, Schuhbeck began his prison sentence in the Landsberg prison.

Since February he has been in open prison in Rothenfeld, a former estate of the Andechs monastery.

If these steps work, the next step would be: release.

The prisoner can do work outside the prison for eight hours and has to return in the evening.

It goes on to say that Schuhbeck is not yet a free dog, but that this relaxation is “in sight” for the father of two.
