She had certainly been spotted because it is rare for an octogenarian to still work in a car garage to take care of the gas station and the cash register.

Especially if she wears rings with large stones on her fingers... Friday March 8, when the Renault garage in Souppes-sur-Loing closed after 7 p.m., the mother of the manager of the establishment left the premises and returned home with the recipe of the week.

Aged 86, she quietly enters the courtyard of her house and gets out of the car.

Suddenly two hooded and gloved individuals appear behind her.

They put her on the ground, grabbed her handbag which contained 5,000 euros in cash.

They don't hit her but have planned everything to steal her rings set with precious stones.

They actually pull out pliers!

One of the two attackers cuts off a ring and dislocates her finger by setting it square.

The other ring is pulled violently.

Then the duo flees.

Shocked, the victim will be transported to hospital.

She escaped with fifteen days of total incapacity for work.

She files a complaint.

An investigation has been opened, led by the organized and specialized crime division of the interdepartmental service of the Seine-et-Marne judicial police.

This case unfortunately recalls the attack that occurred on February 9 at the home of an octogenarian in Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry.

Two minors appeared at this 86-year-old widow's house shortly after 1 p.m., threw her to the ground to steal her rings, her Rolex watch and the other jewelry she was carrying, as well as her iPhone, the contents of his wallet, etc.

Arrested and incarcerated, they will be judged by a children's judge on March 19.

The two young adult women who had accompanied them in the car and had denied any involvement were sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment, including eight months with placement outside and ten months suspended on probation for two years with a ban on contact with the victim, with the co-perpetrators, obligation to work or follow training and to pay 3,000 euros to the victim while awaiting the civil interests hearing in October.
