The families of the abductees and the parents of the observant women held captive in Gaza entered during the last week the residence of a member of the Council of Torah Sages and head of the "Yachvah Da'at" Beit Midrash, Rabbi David Yosef, in order to review with him what they have been experiencing since Simchat Torah Day, as well as to hear from him words of strength and encouragement in this difficult time.

The families of the abductees entered his room in the Beit Midrash in the Har Nof neighborhood in Jerusalem where they told him the terrible hardship they have been experiencing since their loved ones were kidnapped with unimaginable cruelty into Gaza by Hamas murderers.

The Gaon Rabbi David Yosef strengthened the families for a long hour and told them that much must be done for a deal and for the release of the abductees.

In his words, he noted the position of his father Maran Rabbi Ovadia before the Entebbe operation, a ruling that proved how important the mitzvot of redeeming prisoners is.

Rabbi David Yosef strengthened the families and told them that with God's help they would see their loved ones "soon," as he put it.

A member of the Council of Torah Sages pointed out to them that since the day of Simchat Torah he has been mentioning the abductees in every class he teaches around the world in order to raise this cry and cause their release soon.

In the meantime, a few days before the meeting with the families of the abductees, his observant parents entered his room, seeking to be strengthened in this difficult time.

The Garad Yosef sat with them for a long time and even wrote down their names in order to remember them in prayer. It should be noted that during the last few months Rabbi David Yosef has been a listening ear to many of the families of the abductees and many of them have already met with him in one way or another. The rabbi as always strengthens and encourages them And he prays every day from the bottom of his heart for their return home to life and peace.
