A tragedy was undoubtedly avoided on January 30.
That day, in front of the Vigneux-sur-Seine station, municipal police officers neutralized a man armed with a knife who had just attacked a public highway surveillance officer (ASVP).
For this act of bravery, the six civil servants and their department head were distinguished on Tuesday March 12 by the mayor, Thomas Chazal (LR), who presented them with the city medal.
“As we often do, we were on surveillance in front of the station because it is a place of passage,” remembers Kévin, ASVP for eight years in Vigneux-sur-Seine.
At one point, a man approached us.
He was wearing a hat and a neck warmer.
He spoke to me in his language, showing me his eye.
I didn't understand what he meant.
I told him I wasn't looking at him but he slapped me.
