The State Attorney responded to the conduct of the Minister of National Security: "Any intervention on behalf of a political party in criminal investigations - directly or indirectly - constitutes a flagrant violation of the law, harms the rule of law in an improper and prohibited manner. There is no place to accept statements directed against the Department of Police Investigations in the State Attorney's Office, which have to harm the independence of the law enforcement system. The police investigation department will continue to act independently and will not shy away from attempts to influence its work."
