The innkeepers Silke Schlund and Carlos Zecher introduce Jhinson Cedeno-Giler.

Jetzendorf – Jetzendorf’s postal economy has woken up from a long slumber.

After extensive renovation of the cozy restaurant, the innkeepers, Silke Schlund and Carlos Zecher, have reopened the restaurant.

In this celebratory setting, the two also introduced their new chef: Jhinson Cedeno-Giler comes from Ecuador and most recently cooked in a renowned steakhouse in Munich.

At the start in Jetzendorf he was able to show off his cooking skills at the hunting association's deer dinner and a big birthday party.

The post office is one of the oldest buildings in Jetzendorf and was mentioned in a document as early as 1574.

Since then there have been countless restaurateurs at the Postwirt.

There was also a butcher's shop there for a long time.

Even the grandfather of the Hilgertshausen master butcher Bernhard Häuserer, who has been running a branch on Aichacher Straße in Jetzendorf for a few years, was a post office manager in Jetzendorf from 1939 to 1957.

The post office, which had been part of the Freyberg estate administration for decades, was of course also supplied with Jetzendorf beer as long as the Jetzendorf castle brewery was brewing.

In 1907 Ludwig Buchberger, a butcher from Scheyern, leased the post office.

What is interesting is the price of beer back then, which was 14 pfennigs per pint.

Today the Augustiner brewery from Munich delivers its fine barley juice to Jetzendorf.

According to innkeeper Carlos Zecher, the Jetzendofer post office will continue to be run as a Bavarian inn in the future, which will be open to guests every week from Friday from 5 p.m.

On Sundays the Postwirt is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The beer garden will be open every week from Thursday, weather permitting.

Music events are also planned there in the future.
