Wendy Guevara, the most famous transgender figure in Mexico, has not only entered the world of television with her participation and triumph in

La Casa de los Famosos México

of TelevisaUnivision, now adds another milestone to her career by representing the MAC Cosmetics brand.

“Babies, do you like this color?

I loved it,” the actress and content creator has published on her Instagram account with an initial photograph in which she models a pink lipstick and four more images in which she poses.

The reactions have not been long in coming and more than 166,000 people have liked the publication.

“The first Mexican trans woman in MAC and bear it,” says one of the comments, which has accumulated more than 1,300 likes.

The brand's Instagram account has spread the same photos of Wendy Guevara, although in a different order, with a similar message: “Do you like this color?

“Wendy Guevara loved it.”

In response, most comments shower praise, although there are some criticisms.

MAC describes itself on its website as the “global authority on professional makeup” and celebrates diversity and individuality.

The company emphasizes: “We are here for all ages, all races and all genders.”

The firm emerged in Canada in the early 1980s when Frank Toskan, a makeup artist and photographer, and Frank Angelo, who owned a beauty salon, were looking for makeup that would allow them to take good photographs.

Lacking one that convinced them, they decided to create their own and began making it in their kitchen.

At that time they sold cosmetics in the establishment to other makeup artists, models and photographers.

Once stylists and editors endorsed the products, their popularity grew, and in March 1984 they launched the brand on the counter of a department store in Toronto.

The lipstick that Wendy Guevara uses, as she explains in her publication, is the Candy Yum Yum from the “new” MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick.

The brand indicates that this line seeks to give lips “much more” with a silky matte finish and a formula that looks “more intense, feels better and lasts longer.”

The singer and actress Danna Paola is another Mexican personality who represents the brand as a “global ambassador.”
