Would one of the best-known animal parks in France want to create a “wow” effect?
The Thoiry ZooSafari (Yvelines) has just changed its name to a much more international name: “
Worlds of Wild: Safari Thoiry”
.
A new title that the company shortens to the acronym WOW and which does not only come from a marketing desire, according to the group.
With this change, the zoo, created in 1968, intends to begin a transformation and “
strengthen and assert its brand image
”.
Indeed, the new acronym recalls that the group operates three parks: Peaugres in Ardèche, Santo Inacio in Portugal, and of course, Thoiry in Yvelines.
In a press release, the zoo justifies this new identity.
The acronym is intended to “
carry both wonder and surprise”.
Certainly.
But it would also reflect a
“cry of warning, emphasizing the imperative to protect our fragile environment”,
as the press release indicates.
The name was thus created to
“clearly support the main objectives of the three parks: to define themselves as centers for nature protection”
, we can read.
These intentions would therefore be part of a noble commitment made by the Thoiry zoo since its creation: to become a place to raise awareness of wildlife, in particular by allowing immersion in this unique biodiversity.
Several types of experiences with animals
The Thory zoo changes its name to Worlds of Wild: Safari Thoiry.
Wow Safari Thoiry
“The wow effect” remains one of the highlights of the zoo, where visitors can observe different species of animals, such as elephants and African lions or even meerkats.
It offers several types of experiences: the car tour, similar to safaris practiced in Africa, but also a walking tour.
Recently, Thoiry inaugurated “Terres d’Afrique”, which is intended to be an immersive experience to observe the park’s three elephants: Ben, Moyo and Jabu.
With this new name, WoW, the zoo therefore shows a promise: to put the well-being of the animals as a priority.
What to impress future visitors?
