Curious news from Italy: Here the police had to stop a 103-year-old pensioner from driving.
She shouldn't have been behind the wheel at all.
Bondeno - The police in Italy are probably not confronted with this every day: A 103-year-old woman was driving her car without a driver's license and without any insurance.
She is believed to be one of the oldest traffic offenders of all time and caused a lot of astonishment among the officials.

Bondeno crime scene, a small town in northern Italy: the 103-year-old was driving her car here in the middle of the night.
According to local police, the pensioner, born in 1920, was driving through the center of the Italian community, it was revealed on Tuesday (March 12).
Life just begins at the age of 103: that's what the pensioner in Italy thought when she was driving her car at night - without a driver's license or car insurance.

The police officers became aware of the woman because she was driving quickly but repeatedly through the same streets around 1:00 a.m.
During a check, the police patrol discovered that the 103-year-old's driving license had already expired for two years.

But that wasn't enough: the officials also discovered that the sprightly pensioner no longer had insurance for her car.
As a result, the woman's car was confiscated and taken away by a tow truck.
The 103-year-old, in turn, was brought home by the police.
According to the pensioner's own description, she set off in her car to visit friends outside of Bondeno.
The small community is located in the Emilia-Romagna region and has around 15,000 inhabitants.
