In the Midrash it is narrated (Shemot Rabbah na, 2) that when the work of the tabernacle was finished, "Moses entered the tabernacle and saw that he had left the tabernacle. He said before the Holy One, blessed be He, 'Lord of the world, we have done the work of the tabernacle and we have been saved. And, what will we do with the rest?'

He said to him, 'Go and make a tabernacle of testimony in them,' Moses went and made in them.



In the midrash there are two explanations of what Moshe Rabbino did with the remaining money. One opinion says that Moshe Rabbino took the remaining money and built a Midrash house in it so that anyone who wanted to study Torah would come to this Midrash house to study Torah. Another opinion says that from the remaining money they made two coffins, one coffin where the Tablets of the Covenant were placed and a second coffin where the fragments of the first tablets were placed.

The Gemara says in tractate Kiddoshin (3, 2) "If an evil person harms you, pull him to the Beit Midrash" - if the evil character harms a person, he must be pulled to the Beit Midrash, because there and only there can he be subdued.

So also in the tabernacle, God wanted the hearts of the Jews, and the hearts of the Jews are taken by them giving the their silver and gold.

Everything that was in the tabernacle gold, silver and copper, precious skins and precious stones, all of this is not for material things - as if God wants to see material things, but all because God wants the hearts of the people of Israel, and this is achieved by the person giving what he likes

The heart of the people of Israel is reached by a Jew donating what he loves.



The Tabernacle and the Temple were built by the hearts of the people of Israel who contributed what they loved.

This is how the house was built through which all prayers go up - because my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations, and from there all prayers enter God because there is the source of the heart of the people of Israel.
