The disappearance of aircraft MH370 leaves many questions unanswered even after ten years.

One author considers the official version to be “a lie”.

Frankfurt – The disappearance of aircraft MH370 continues to concern people around the world even after ten years.

There were 239 people on the plane, whose relatives are struggling with uncertainty - because the cause of MH370's disappearance has not been clarified in all these years.

The wreckage has not yet been found; only parts of the aircraft have been discovered.

Theories surrounding the disappearance of MH370: Author believes the plane was shot down

ZDF

has comprehensively examined the events surrounding the mysterious disappearance in a six-part documentary series

.

Florence de Changy, who wrote a book about her theory of disappearances, also has her say.

According to her, it happened completely differently than what was officially known.

The flight of aircraft MH370 on March 8, 2014 was a routine flight from Kuala Lupur (Malaysia) to Beijing (China).

But after just an hour, the plane and its 239 passengers disappeared from the radar and have been missing ever since.

According to satellite data, the machine is said to have changed course beforehand.

It is still not clear what happened to the plane.

To answer the many open questions, there are numerous theories surrounding the flight.

Florence De Changy published one of them in the book “Disappeared – What really happened to flight MH370?” Even some experts do not believe that the plane was an accident.

According to the author, valuable cargo - possibly important electronic equipment - was said to have been on board the aircraft.

The US may therefore have had an interest in ensuring that this potentially important cargo did not arrive in China.

To prevent this, according to De Changy's theory, the plane was shot down.

According to her, the incident happened when the plane flew into the Vietnamese flood zone.

“Something happened to MH370 at that moment.”

Mystery of missing plane MH370: “I am convinced that the official version is a lie”

She explains that destroying the plane was probably not the original plan.

Instead, it was just a matter of getting to the cargo.

But then, according to Changy, something must have gone wrong.

“I am now convinced that the official version of the U-turn, the flight back over Malaysia and the crash in the Indian Ocean is a lie.” According to her, MH370 probably crashed over the South China Sea.

However, she is far from the only person who doubts the official version of events.

The documentary also features Ghyslain Wattrelos, who lost his wife and two of his children.

“We were never given a reason why the plane would have flown there.” Wattrelos believes Florence De Changy's theory that the plane was shot down by the USA is more likely.

Mysterious passports on board the aircraft MH370 also pose a mystery.

But the theory of shooting down MH370 has also met with criticism, even from other relatives of the passengers.

Not all of the passengers' relatives believe in conspiracies surrounding the flight

“We didn't get any answers, but that's no one's fault because there are no answers,” said VPR Nathan, a former air traffic control employee who lost his wife on the flight.

Efforts were made to find the plane, but without success.

The finder of one of the flight parts, Blaine Gibson, also contradicts De Changy's theory.

After he discovered parts of the plane in Madagascar, he was portrayed as a liar across Europe and with great publicity.

According to De Changy, the debris must be in the South China Sea, where, according to her, the plane crashed.

Other facts also speak against the author's theory.

“If it had been launched in the South China Sea, there would be debris there,” said Charitha Pattiaratchi, an oceanographer at the University of Western Australia.

The sea is almost completely surrounded by land, but no wreckage has been found in any of the neighboring countries.

30 pieces of wreckage were discovered in the southwest Indian Ocean.

Even De Changy admits that the theory of a crash there cannot be sufficiently proven.

A fisherman even hid the discovery of MH370 for nine years for fear of being labeled a conspiracy theorist.

Theories surrounding MH370 under criticism: “The truth will only come out when we find the wreckage”

There are also doubts about the valuable cargo theory.

“These were completely ordinary goods that are often transported on passenger planes.

“I see no connection between the cargo and the disappearance of MH370,” Australian Aviation Safety Agency spokesman Joe Hattley said.

There is also nothing to indicate that anyone wanted to prevent the plane from reaching China.

Ten years after the plane disappeared, questions still remain unanswered.

Many relatives of the passengers would like the search for the missing aircraft MH370 to be resumed.

To solve the mystery of the plane's disappearance, finding the wreckage is essential.

“The evidence is in the Indian Ocean.

“You can speculate all you want, the truth will only come out when we find the wreckage,” said Peter Foley, former chief investigator for the Australian Aviation Safety Agency.

But: “The longer we wait, the less likely it is that we will find the evidence we need to solve the mystery.”
