Peter from Bavaria suffers from blood cancer: “Life is completely turned upside down”

Peter from Mainburg (Kelheim district) suffers from blood cancer.

Since the diagnosis on February 12th, “the full-blooded musician’s life has been completely turned upside down.” In order to get healthy again, he needs a stem cell donation.

But so far the global search for his genetic twin has been unsuccessful.

Peter has been an enthusiastic musician and fisherman since he was a child, reports DKMS.

He not only pursues these hobbies in his free time, but also passes on his knowledge.

Until a few weeks ago, the 67-year-old taught at the Vohburg fishing club and also passed on his love of music and nature to his sons Dominik and David.

Peter suffers from blood cancer: diagnosed in February

“Those around him not only appreciate his creative streak, but also his understanding, helpful and honest nature,” says the DKMS.

Now Peter needs help himself.

Because on February 12th he received the diagnosis of blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN).

This is a rare form of blood cancer in which certain cells of the non-specific immune system are degenerated.
