Cooperation between Tölzer Löwen and TSV 1860 Munich: Joint activities by ice hockey and soccer players are planned

The start is a training session for both professional teams on the ice of the Tölzer Hacker-Pschorr Arena on March 19th at 6:30 p.m. (admission: 5:30 p.m.).

Lions fans can attend the event.

Tickets are available at the box office for 8 euros.

Due to the similarities between the two teams, collaboration was obvious.

The Munich Lions are currently playing in the 3rd league.

Just like the Tölzer Löwen, TSV 1860 became German champions in 1966.

Just like the Tölzer team, the Munich team attaches great importance to youth work, which is why the Giesinger junior teams all play in the highest German youth leagues.

In addition to training the professionals, key aspects of the collaboration include joint units for the youth teams of both clubs.

The different age groups of the BayWa Junglöwen should complete training sessions together with the juniors from the EC Bad Tölz and thereby get to know the other sport and its training content.

The Tölzer Löwen are scheduled to have a stand at the TSV 1860 Munich fan festival in summer 2024, and fans of both teams will also benefit from joint ticket campaigns.

Cooperation always makes sense when it brings benefits for both sides.

Cooperation between Tölzer Löwen and TSV 1860 Munich: added value for fans of the ice hockey and football team

“Cooperation always makes sense when it brings benefits for both sides,” says Oliver Mueller, commercial director of TSV 1860 Munich.

“The many similarities between the two clubs provide starting points for exciting activities, be it with the professional team, the Young Lion Pack or teams from our BayWa youth performance center.

If we can use the resulting attention to achieve positive effects for both clubs, then everyone wins.”

“We are pleased about the collaboration with TSV 1860 Munich.

Through the cooperation between two traditional clubs, we want to create added value for the fans of both clubs,” said the managing director of the Tölzer Löwen, Fabian Schlager.

“Thanks to good performances, we were able to significantly increase our average audience at the end of the 2023/24 main round and hope that the planned activities will attract even more attention.

The joint training sessions between the two youth performance centers also create incentives for the many talented players in our youth.”
