On October 7th, we, the residents of Nativ Ha'Tara, fell victim to horrific lawlessness, and like us, the entire surrounding area. It is impossible to expect us to start our lives anew in the place where the ground was dropped from under us - not when the goals of the war have not yet been achieved and when the commission of inquiry has not yet been established. True restoration will be achieved when we leave the place where the worst happened to us

Her husband and son were murdered, the two sons were seriously injured: "I have nothing left, but I will return to the path of enrichment"/Walla!

The war we are in continues to shake us all.

It's not for nothing that the general feeling is of an unending seven - a period of personal, community, public and national mourning that simply refuses to end.

The war still continues, soldiers and civilians continue to pay with their lives and the world, somehow, continues to turn.

But for some of us, life got stuck there, on October 7th.

Without a home, without a community (or one that is broken up, sad and scattered), without a regular job, without equipment and in fact without the life we had until October 6th.

I am part of the Netiv Hatara community.

On October 7th, I had to flee the house, because there were terrorists roaming around in Moshav who hurt, murdered and destroyed our little piece of God.

It's an event that dropped the ground, almost literally, from under the feet of all the residents of the moshav.

In the hotels and temporary housing, some of us consolidated, and began to talk among ourselves in order to create a new path for us, a new path for the restoration of life and the community.

We thought, talked, even argued, and came to formulate a simple request from the state: let us establish our seat in a new place, far from the disaster area.

Decades under rocket fire, which we thought we could contain, came to a violent, terrible and painful explosion, which has not ended to this day;

An explosion that requires different thinking, outside the box, outside the disaster zone.

"Let us rebuild our community, outside the disaster zone."

The lawlessness we experienced, and which we are experiencing, to this day screams to the sky.

Starting with residents who begged the army and the authorities to take seriously the threats that were getting closer and closer to the fence in the form of Hamas and Jihad training, positions set up near the settlement, violent demonstrations on the fence, digging tunnels, firing rockets and what not?

But the state and the army lulled us to sleep with empty promises and a concrete cloak, which mainly hid us and the threats that continued to pile up.

Instead of dealing with the threat we were taught how to deal with it, instead of creating peace and protection for us we were taught to develop our resilience in times of war.

And those who abandoned must, finally, listen to us and try to understand together with us how to continue from here.

In order to rehabilitate the entire envelope, you have to start with the residents.

We want to let the army and the security forces complete the task in full, without having to deal with the security of a settlement close to a fence. We understand that the community needs a safe, quiet and enveloping place in order to rebuild itself. We understand that the human, moral and even ideological order is to save the community , its restoration and reconstruction. We understand that it will also take time for the land, air, water and the entire environment to recover from the direct and indirect pollution produced by the war.

We mostly understand that it will take time, a long time, and we need this time for us. And in this time, between bringing peace and real security And sustainable for the region and between now and now, we seek to build our community and our lives in a new place. One that doesn't force us to count 15 seconds between the alarm and finding the protected space, one that doesn't locate a huge tunnel in it, two months after the start of the war, within touching distance of the residents' homes.

We understand that it will take time, but the messages coming out of the government are deceiving us.

Every outline that talks about a return evokes strong emotions in all of us, as if the ground is falling under our feet again.

Rebuilding the community in a new place has many advantages.

It allows us to strengthen and strengthen those who need our community support.

It allows us to create a new routine, to get healthy and return Moshav Netiv Hatara to its greatness.

Our seat knew how to copy itself in the past.

Moshav Netiv Hathara was established in the Sinai Hills, and with the peace agreements it was moved to the Zikim Hills, in its current location.

This process was successful: the seat grew, grew and flourished, and the human forces in it created a rare miracle.

Those human forces need to be embraced, strengthened and restored in order to return the community to flourish and grow.

The expectation that we will do this again in the disaster area is unrealistic, certainly not in the coming years.

The expectation that good, caring and dedicated citizens will return to the area of disaster and war when its goals have not yet been achieved, when no investigative committee has been established, when the members of the Knesset almost overwhelmingly do not live in the area at all - is an impudent and clumsy expectation.

We are asking for a new construction, a real, full and healthy reconstruction out of an area that is still, so long after October 7, a disaster and war zone.

We ask to rebuild and not repeat the mistakes of the past: let us save and restore our community, outside the disaster zone.
